About the Event

Blue Horizon Texas will host a webinar on the national agrarian myth and priorities for rural voters, featuring Jay Stokes.

Jay Stokes is an independent media and marketing consultant who works with purpose-driven and cause-based organizations. He brings more than 30 years of experience in media, marketing, business development, and strategic communication. Jay holds a Doctorate of Liberal Studies from Southern Methodist University, where his work focused on American culture, mythology, and the stories that shape public life. His dissertation explored the Agrarian Myth and the symbolic role of the farmer in American culture, examining how myths shape political messaging, public meaning, and movements for social change.

During this webinar, Jay will present his research on national myths, issues facing rural voters, and how understanding these myths can enable candidates to communicate effectively with the rural electorate. There will be a Q&A period at the end.
