About the Event
Over the past four years, Blue Horizon has recruited dozens of Democratic and progressive candidates to run for office — we know that the first step in recruiting strong candidates is information.
That’s why we’ve launched the Blue Ballot Data Project, the first of its kind database in Texas to capture all state and local ballot opportunities across the state. It’s an ambitious project: A single volunteer just finished mapping Travis County — and identified 756 individual races (!!!) that voters in different parts of the county will find on a May or November ballot over the next four years. That’s 756 opportunities to elect leaders who will stand up for our communities between now and the next presidential election.
We’re putting out the call to recruit more volunteers to the data project. The only experience necessary is basic skills in online research, using a spreadsheet… and a passion for…
