Kathy Cheng, JD (she/her/hers), a legal practitioner from the Greater Houston area, is also a former Democratic nominee for the Texas Supreme Court in 2018 and 2020. As the first statewide Asian American candidate in the State of Texas, Kathy understands the need for diversity with true inclusiveness. "Progress is true progress only when everyone has a seat at the table and that includes rural county constituents," says Kathy. The impact of rural counties has and will continue to shape the outcome of elections and assisting qualified, passionate rural county candidates will transform how elections are viewed. 

 

Kathy is also the mother of three wonderful children, who are not strangers to community activism. She is honored to serve as a board member of Blue Horizon Texas and looks forward to transforming future elections by providing the desperately needed resources to rural county candidates.
